McCain Obstructionist During SSC Hearings MCCAIN AND THE POW COVER-UP

I am a POW/MIA Family member. And, like dozens of other families, we want to know what happened to our loved ones. By deliberately ignoring and classifying evidence of live American POW's, Senator MaCain as a member of the 1991-1993 Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs has denied us that opportunity.

In my brother's case, Major Pete Matthes along with seven other crewman were shot down in Laos on 24NOV1969. Although the government claimed everyone perished in the crash, Enemy Records show that only five pilots died and Pete's secret authenticator code(GX2527) was found in 1992 outside Dong Vai Prison in North Vietnam.

The McCain Factor ... John McCain, who has risen to political prominence on his image as a Vietnam POW war hero, has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn't return home. Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents. Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books.
McCain's Contempt for POW/MIA Families.... The Pentagon had been withholding significant information from POW families for years. What's more, the Pentagon's POW/MIA operation had been publicly shamed by internal whistle blowers and POW families for holding back documents as part of a policy of "debunking" POW intelligence even when the information was obviously credible. The pressure from the families and Vietnam veterans finally forced the creation, in late 1991, of a Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs. The chairman was John Kerry. McCain, as a former POW, was its most pivotal member. In the end, the committee became part of the debunking machine.
McCain's Contempt for POW/MIA Families.... The person you are about to see is Colonel Earl Hopper who served 30 years as an Army Airborne special forces officer. He spent most of his career as an intelligence officer during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He has devoted much of his time and expertise to the return of living American POWs from the Vietnam War as a founding member and chairman of the board of the National League Of Families. "In the very beginning, talking with the returned POWs, we began to here some very bad things about John McCain and his activities while he was in the POW camp. For example, after 5-7 days in captivity, he asked to be taken to a Vietnamese Hospital. In return, he gave them classified military information about "package routes" and targets used to bomb North Vietnam by US forces."
McCain never received any promotion while a POW.... Because of his treasonous conduct while a POW, five returning colonels and and several other POWs wanted to prefer charges against McCain. Since the Secretaries of the Armed Services wanted all returning POWs seen as heroes, McCain and others were never tried in a military court of law .
McCain is a traitor to his country.... McCain caused the death of many of his fellow aviators because he gave highly classified information to the enemy while in captivity. For what he did, McCain is a traitor to his country. His introduction to politics came in 1976, when he was assigned as the Navy´s liaison to the U.S. Senate. In 1981, after marrying his second wife, Cindy Hensley, McCain retired from the Navy, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. While working in public relations for his father-in-law´s beer distribution business, he began establishing connections in politics. McCain was first elected to political office on November 2, 1982, easily winning a seat in the House of Representatives after his well-known war record helped overcome doubts about his “carpetbagger” status. He was re-elected in 1984. In 1986, after the retirement of the longtime Arizona senator and prominent Republican Barry Goldwater, McCain won election to the U.S. Senate. "McCain is not my senator, he is just from Arizona." He became a senator after Republican leaders encouraged him to run for the seat vacated by retiring senator Barry Goldwater. "I never liked McCain either professionally, militarily, politically, or personally."
John you're a liar.... I have no respect McCain. McCain has betrayed every American, especially every military man, and especially every pilot who flew in Vietnam after his capture. Everything about McCain is wrong and to elect him President would be a huge mistake.
Kerry and McCain are two of a kind.... Kerry lied about his purple heart and McCain lied about his conduct while a POW in North Vietnam. Neither Kerry or McCain have any effective combat command experience and both Kerry and McCain have never helped with the POW issue.
